Mr. José María Solana

José María Solana is an Industrial Engineer from Carlos III University (Madrid) and has a postgraduate degree in Executive Management from IE Business School. He has more than 25 years of experience in which he has played different roles in sales, supply chain, business, marketing, strategy and innovation.

He joined Cepsa Química in 1998 as sales manager. Since then, he has held various positions before being appointed Executive Vice President Cepsa Química. He is also joining Cepsa's Management Committee, reporting directly to the Group's CEO, Maarten Wetselaar. Over these years, Solana has led a profound commercial transformation, incorporating new roles, a completely different sales structure and a new marketing strategy, which has had a major impact on the organization and results. 

As Executive Vice President Cepsa Química, José María Solana, leads the transition towards the next generation of sustainable chemical products.
