On February 20th, José María Solana, CEO of Cepsa Química, and 72 other European industry leaders joined together to present ‘The Antwerp Declaration for a European Industrial Agreement’ to Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, and European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen.
The ‘Antwerp Declaration’ seeks to promote European industrial production through increased competitiveness, a drive for innovation and greater environmental responsibility, in line with Cepsa’s Positive Motion strategy. At Cepsa, we believe that a European Industrial Agreement would facilitate the achievement of the EU's climate and renewable targets, while ensuring that it remains an attractive location for investment.
Our firm commitment to the development and promotion of environmental, social and good governance policies in European industry has made us a benchmark for energy transition and decarbonization in Europe. We are leaders in mobility, chemistry and sustainable energy.
Our Positive Motion strategy has launched an extensive investment plan aimed at increasing Cepsa's presence in sustainable businesses. We promote the creation of green molecules with the production of renewable hydrogen and second-generation biofuels in the Energy Parks, with the development of new sustainable products in our chemical plants, and with the promotion of the circular economy and research to achieve a green transition that is fairer and more respectful of the environment.
