Meet Encarna Samitier
Encarna Samitier, director of 20minutos, began her professional journey in the publishing industry as a member of the editorial staff at Heraldo de Aragón in 1981, where she was one of the few women at the newspaper. Subsequently, she ascended to head of the local section–a remarkable achievement, given that this section was traditionally reserved for men. In the early 2000s, she was appointed as the Deputy Opinion Editor and Assistant Editor at the same newspaper. By 2017, she assumed the role of Director of Communication and Opinion within the Henneo group, subsequently becoming the editorial director of 20minutos.
