New project at the Palos de la Frontera plant
With the installation of the frequency converters, we have reduced electricity and thermal energy consumption for the Line 1 and Line 2 units.
How did we do it?
We have installed new control panels and frequency converters on the cooling tower fan motors to regulate the speed of the fans.
The result
This enables us to keep the cold water leaving the cooling tower at a constant temperature and avoid sub-cooling in the head condensers of the distillation columns. This way we reduce electricity consumption, steam consumption and CO2 emissions.
